As the founder of Chris' Fishing Trips. Captain Chris Arcoleo started taking people out on fishing trips in the waters off Monterey Bay in 1949. Captain Chris is gone now, but his vision of offering the best fishing off the California coast lives on. Captain Chris' Fishing Trips is the oldest, continuously family-owned, charter fishing operation on the entire coast.

Present owner, Captain Chris Arcoleo Jr. in the early 50's was nicknamed "Sea Bass" by his friends because of his early morning fishing trips out on Monterey Bay before school. By the time he graduated from high school, he had already been written up in the Monterey Herald and was on his way to becoming a fixture in the folklore of Fisherman's Wharf on Monterey Bay.

CAPTAIN HARRY "TINKER" NEECE

Captain Harry "Tinker" Neece, a Monterey native, has been a skipper with Captain Chris for 24 years. He has logged 70,000+ hours on the water and knows where to find Rock Cod and Salmon as well as anyone on the coast of California between Ano Nuevo and Point Sur.

CAPTAIN NICK LEMON

Captain Nick Lemon is one of the most experienced fishing boat skippers on the entire west coast. He has been out on the water 7 days a week since he was 10 years old in the early 1950's. This photo of Captain Nick was taken in the early '60's, and the catches from the boats that he skippers today are no different.
